Vacancy Expeditor

As an expeditor, you are the link between our customers and agents. You know better than anyone else how to take care of the transport, from beginning to end, down to the last detail for our customers. Hectic: that is no problem for you. Variety and fast switching are your cup of tea. In addition, you get a kick out of the commercial game between purchasing and selling transports. With your entrepreneurial and commercial skills you spot sales opportunities. Then you are the right person for DNA United Forwarders.

Your tasks:

• Represent the interests of your customers on a daily basis. Taking and handling orders. Checking orders for suitability;
• Making price agreements with customers and carriers regarding the freights to be transported;
• Creation of records, preparation of unloading and loading lists and preparation of freight documents;
• Follow up on shipments;
• Scheduling shipments as effectively as possible;
• Monitor quality and quantity of work;
• Establish monthly KPI regarding revenue, margin and number of shipments;
• Maintain contacts with customers, carriers and foreign agents;
• Invoicing and digital archiving of your files.

What are we asking of you?

• Completed MBO 4 education;
• 5 years work experience in a similar position within transport and logistics;
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs and TMS packages;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing, other foreign languages are a plus;
• Good communication skills and the ability to effectively switch between different departments;
• Accurate and well organized with an eye for detail;
• Stress resistance and flexibility;
• Douane knowledge and knowledge of ADR goods is a must;
